On Saturday night, June 10th, Mission Zimbabwe held its “ Summer” Barbeque supper and concert at Hope Community Church.
Close to 50 take-out suppers and 100 eat-in suppers were served and Mission Zimbabwe wants to thank the local community for the excellent support our supper received. The gourmet supper included BBQ chicken, pulled pork, summer salad, potato salad, coleslaw, grilled vegetables, macaroni and cheese and home made cherry cheesecake for dessert.
The supper raised funds that will go to support the children at the Village of Hope and Vimbainesu Children’s Home in Zimbabwe.
Diners were entertained by Dale Ahrens and Pat Mullen of Jammin North who thrilled the audience with country tunes that had some of the audience up and dancing. A large group of volunteers prepared and served the supper which helped to make this supper a success.

Mission Zimbabwe wishes to especially thank Gord and Anita Cooledge who came all the way from Dunnville, Ontario to prepare and cook the supper. Gord and Anita Cooledge were the missionaries at the Village of Hope when Mission Zimbabwe’s first team visited the Village of Hope in 2007.
