Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) is inviting teens aged 12-18 to help shape the future of library programs and services through the launch of its new Teen Advisory Group (TAG).
TAG will provide local teens with an opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback on Library services and programs, help plan events, and connect with other teens from across the County. Meetings will take place virtually once a month, making it easy for individuals from all communities to participate. Teens can also earn volunteer hours for attending meetings and contributing ideas!
“Teen Advisory Groups are becoming increasingly popular in public libraries across Ontario because they give youth a meaningful voice in their community. We want teens to help shape programs and spaces that reflect their interests and needs while giving them the opportunity to build relationships with peers and have a positive impact on libraries,” said Billie Tenhange, Programming and Community Engagement Supervisor.
The first TAG meeting will take place Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:30pm. Teens must register on the Library website by June 6, 2026, and will receive a meeting link by email.
