Hazel Mary Giesler passed away peacefully, at Lanark Heights long Term Care in Kitchener on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
Hazel Mary (Devine) Giesler in her 93rd year was the beloved wife of the late Edward Giesler (2005), they were happily married for 54 years. Hazel was the loving mother of Edward and his wife Jean Giesler and Steven and his wife Jackie Giesler, all of Waterloo. She was the loving grandma of Lisa (Dave), Tammy (Ryan), Tyler (Sara) and Brandon (Jenn), and will be sadly missed by her four great-grandsons, Bryden, Colton, Zachary and Connor. Hazel is survived by her sister Connie and by her sisters-in-law Kay, Grace and Maryann. She is predeceased by her parents James and Marian (Heenie) Devine and by her four brothers, David, Arnie, Alex and James and by her sister Dorothy. Hazel is also survived by many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by her dear friend Lucy.
Hazel was also a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph.
She is resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099
Gordon St., Guelph where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on  Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.  Guests are invited to live-stream the funeral service on Zoom by accessing the link on the funeral home
website.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, guests must RSVP their attendance for the visitation and funeral service by accessing the funeral home website. Social distancing will be in place and masks are mandatory.
