It’s Spring cleaning time and, with it, comes Bruce County’s Hazardous Waste Collections.
Residents of Bruce County are encouraged each year to bring their hazardous waste materials to any of the Household Hazardous Waste Events.
Among the household hazardous waste materials considered acceptable are paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.

Among items that are considered unacceptable are commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions, and flares.
