The second summer Sunset Cruise Classic Car Tour fundraiser for Crime Stoppers was all about cruising the Bruce Peninsula for auto enthusiasts.
Owners had their vehicles shined and polished as they started out from four different locations on Sunday, July 31st – Port Elgin, Lions Head, Sauble Beach, Owen Sound and Wiarton and, fortunately, the weatherman cooperated with a hot sunny day.

The Show ‘n’ Go tour finished in mid-afternoon with a show at the Wiarton Keppel International Airport.
There is one more Sunset Cruise this year on September 25th (2022) when the third annual Keppel Classic Colour Tour takes place amidst the vibrant colours of Fall.
The tour takes in old Keppel Township in the Municipality of Georgian Bluffs where colours of fall are known to be world renowned. Maps supplied by Crime Stoppers volunteers at all locations will show several scenic routes that guarantee spectacular scenery of the forests, cliffs and waters around this most colourful part of Ontario. All routes will end at the Grey Roots Museum for a stationary car show that will last until 6:00 PM.
A community crime fighting multiplier for 35 years
Crime Stoppers is a community based program that combines the police, media, and members of the public in a co-operative effort to solve crime. Crime Stoppers encourages people to call our toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS, (8477) phone number or submit a secure Web Tip with information about any criminal activity in their communities. The information shared is forwarded anonymously to law enforcement investigators.
Crime Stoppers is a group of concerned citizens comprised of a Volunteer Board of Directors. This Board administers the program, controls and raises funds, and manages the payment of rewards to Tipsters. Crime Stoppers is incorporated as a charitable organization and therefore all cash donations are tax deductible.
A final fundraising total from the second Sunset Cruise has not yet been determined.
