Exciting adventure travel continues at the Bruce County Museum

The Adventure Travel series continues tomorrow, Wednesday (Mar. 11th), at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

The talks have drawn crowds anxious to travel the world through the eyes of guest speakers and their photography.

On February 26th, Ian Evans presented ‘LUNATIC: Life begins at the end of your comfort zone’ and Evans lived true to his motto.  An adventurer at heart, he has been on several extreme adventures around the world, including climbing five of the highest seven summits, cycling across Australia twice and skiing from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole at age 58.

Last year (2019), he returned to Antarctica but, this time, he spent six weeks on a Russian icebreaker as a lecturer, historian and outdoor guide.

John Swatridge

The travel excitement continues tomorrow, Wednesday morning, with John Swatridge who will take the audience to the more exotic locations of Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok.

Retired teacher and Head of Geography at Elmira District Secondary School, Swatridge now brings his love of travel to help to organize and escort tours all over the world.

He is also a wine connoisseur who is involved in sales in the wine industry.

His favourite continent is Asia and, more specifically Vietnam and says that the best part of traveling is meeting new people, enjoying various cultures, and indulging in the food and music.

Join us for this exciting talk and photos that will leave you wanting more!
