‘Driving Back in Time’ with Rotary to support Hospice

The Walkerton, Hanover and Mildmay Rotary Clubs are hosting an amazing Garage Tour on July 16th from 11am to 5pm featuring incredible collections of vintage automobiles, tractors, motorcycles and memorabilia from throughout the area. All proceeds go to the local Rotary clubs as well as Saugeen Hospice.

“It promises to be a great day,” said Myna Inglis, Garage Tour Chair with the Walkerton Rotary Club. “We can’t thank our car collectors and enthusiasts enough,” she continued. “They have kindly agreed to open up their garages for this remarkable, fundraising event. The collections include those from Hawkins, Andy’s, Lang, Bester, Reich-Hudson, Eidt, Reuber-Dohm and Fullerton-Bogdon.” Tickets are only $20.00 each and can be purchased on-line at www.walkertonrotary.org, or by visiting Holst Office Pro (Hanover / Walkerton), Brown’s Pharmacy (Walkerton) or Harley’s Pub and Perk (Mildmay).

The day concludes with a Pub and Pork Chop Dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall between Walkerton and Mildmay, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Bar opens at 4:00pm. Tickets for this can also be purchased at the same outlets above until noon Tuesday, July 12. Cost is $20.00 each.

“Come on out and enjoy the day touring our local area, viewing some outstanding vintage collections and meeting some of the car enthusiasts and collectors at the Pub and Pork Chop Dinner afterwards,” added Inglis, “all the while supporting some excellent causes.
