Born and raised Brockton resident running for Council

On May 20th, Steve Travale filed his nomination papers for the position of Councillor in the Municipality of Brockton, in advance of the municipal election this October.

Born and raised in Bruce County, Travale is a proud resident of Walkerton.

He is a dedicated community volunteer with organizations such as the Kinsmen Club of Walkerton, the Walkerton & District Optimist Club and as a board member of Saugeen Hospice. Travale is also an active member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Travale has listened and has heard from residents. That is why he is focused on three key commitments — Affordability, Accessibility and Activity.

Affordability: A commitment to fighting for fiscal responsibility and ensuring that municipal finances are spent carefully and efficiently. Residents deserve better value for their tax dollars.

Accessibility: A commitment to be readily available to all the residents and ratepayers of Brockton. The community should be able to easily reach their elected officials to share their concerns and ideas, ask questions, and have honest conversation.

Activity: A commitment to continue his history of, and passion for, being present in all corners of our municipality and engaged in local initiatives. Brockton residents will be effectively represented by a councillor who is active, who listens, and who participates in the community regularly.

“I am excited for the opportunity to represent all of Brockton on Council. My priorities are to hear the ratepayers and work hard. I will bring a positive and thoughtful perspective to the table,” said Travale.

Travale looks forward to continuing to meet with, listen to, and earn the support of residents of Brockton over the coming months. Community members with questions or comments are welcome to reach out … Email: steven.travale@gmail.com
