Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) invites the community to attend an Open House at the Tara Branch on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:30am to 1pm.
The Open House celebrates the recent refresh to the Branch and will include remarks, cake, and refreshments. Children and families can also enjoy face painting by Whyllow’s Whimsies from 11am to 1pm.
“This refreshed branch reflects our commitment to keeping the library a bright and inviting place for everyone in the community,” said Library Board Chair, Mark Goetz.
The Tara Branch has received several updates, including new flooring, shelving, a new
circulation desk, and a dedicated Children’s area, creating a more welcoming space for
patrons of all ages. BCPL would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Municipality of ArranElderslie for providing the new flooring and for their assistance and collaboration during the updates.
“Our library is such a special place in the Tara community, and it’s great to see it refreshed
and ready to welcome everyone,” said Arran-Elderslie Mayor Steve Hammell. “The
Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was happy to support these updates, and we’re proud to work alongside the Library to create a space where people of all ages can come together, learn, and feel at home.”
This event is for all community members to attend and explore the newly refreshed space.
