To the Editor:
Yesterday, May 23rd, I passed through Walkerton at 1:30pm on my way back from Hanover. Walkerton is a lovely small town closely knit community. Everything about Walkertown yesterday gave that feeling – nothing wrong can happen here today.
However, just a few hours later that wonderful small community suffered an unimaginable tragedy. Four teenage girls from the local high school and their teacher died in a tragic car crash.
I can’t imagine what their families are suffering. These poor folks are our neighbours. We are all mourners.
Time to sincerely pray for all involved … and time to give a big hug to our loved ones.
