The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has concluded an investigation that resulted in Human Trafficking charges in the Municipality of Brockton.
In June 2024, the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit entered an investigation involving a victim from the Brockton area.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old resident of West Grey been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- 6 Counts of Assault
- Assault cause Bodily harm
- Traffic in Persons
- Material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
