MZO has chosen the MEDICAL CLINIC FUND for the focus of fundraising at this year’s Easter pancake breakfast and spring fund raising campaign.
The Village of Hope provides free health care for the children in their care as well as free medical care for their community. This includes regular vaccines, check-ups and other care as needed. They also provide an outreach clinic once a week for the young mothers and babies in the surrounding area.
Unlike Canada, healthcare in Zimbabwe is not publicly funded (with the exception of vaccines). Imagine having to pay every time you need to take your child to the ER or your family primary care provider.
Unfortunately, this means many young children don’t have access to medical care. Babies that will die before their first birthday:
Zimbabwe 33 per 1000
Canada 4.3 per 1000
Your donation can help provide valuable medical care to the children at Village of Hope and the surrounding area.
- Equipment (baby scale, blood pressure machine, otoscope/ophthalmoscope)

You don’t have to wait to the pancake breakfast to donate. You can help us reach our goal of $3,000 right now by donating in one of the following ways.

In a heartwarming display of community collaboration, the recent drive led by the Ministry of Health in partnership with our Hope Medical Clinic brought health to countless children in Zimbabwe.

This initiative aimed to combat the rising concerns of Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) among the younger population, highlighting the pressing need for preventive healthcare.
Trained health professionals engaged with children and their parents, imparting crucial information about Mpox, its symptoms, and the importance of early intervention.
Children were warmly welcomed into the clinic, where they received essential vaccinations that will serve as a barrier against infectious diseases. Alongside these essential immunizations, the children were provided with supplementary vitamin drops. These vitamins are vital for bolstering immune systems and ensuring they grow healthy and strong.
We believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive, free from the threats of preventable diseases. This collaboration with the Ministry of Health not only underscores VOH’s dedication to child health but also emphasizes the importance of partnerships in addressing public health challenges.
