KidsPlay Indoor Play Centre breaks ground

Hanover is welcoming an exciting new family recreation and athletic destination in the Hanover Business Park.

KidsPlay Indoor Play Centre — the new 7,000 sf indoor play and party centre will be Grey-Bruce’s premier family fun destination for children 12 months to 9 years, offering young families in Hanover and the surrounding area a quality family recreation centre, with imaginative role-playing environments, soft contained play structures, slides, climbing and play areas, and three party rooms serving wood fired pizza. Two years in the making, owner Irene Dixon has envisioned bringing a quality, indoor play and party environment to Grey-Bruce, and Hanover was the perfect location to make it a reality.

This new location will also be home to the newly expanded Hanover Aerials Gymnastics. Hanover Aerials has been serving Hanover and Grey-Bruce county’s youth for over 10 years and is thrilled about this next step in the growth of the club. The new 10,500 sf facility will provide the opportunity to expand recreational programming to 6 days per week with over 600 registration spaces per season, in addition to more competitive training, cheerleading classes, day-camps, and birthday parties. The new facility will also include the addition of a 400 sf foam pit which opens up great possibilities for fun recreational activities and higher level gymnastics training.

Hanover Mayor Sue Patterson was joined by project representatives for a photo to mark the start of construction on the new project in the Business Park, located in the southeast area of Hanover, across from the new net zero firehall development. Property owner David Lantz (and family) and builder Lewis Zettel of Zettel-Fischer were on hand to commemorate the event, along with representatives of The Kirstine-Ellis Group.

It is anticipated that KidsPlay will be open in late August, and Hanover Aerials Gymnastics in September.
