The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre will host acclaimed Canadian journalist and broadcaster Anna Maria Tremonti on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the UNIFOR Family Education Centre in Port Elgin. This event offers a rare opportunity to hear from one of Canada’s most trusted voices in an evening of storytelling, insight and hope.
With a career that spans decades at the CBC and years as a foreign correspondent, Tremonti has reported from international capitals and conflict zones abroad, as well as communities across Canada. At this special event, she will reflect on why public broadcasting matters and share candid stories from behind the scenes, including the myths and realities of journalism. Audiences will hear about the people and places that have left a lasting mark on her and the lessons carried forward from those experiences.
Tremonti’s talk will also move beyond the headlines, exploring how you can find unity in times of conflict and division. She emphasizes the importance of compassion and shared humanity and reveals how these insights guided her personal path of growth and change. By sharing her story, Tremonti invites audiences to consider how such lessons might inspire their own journeys.
An Evening with Anna Maria Tremonti will take place at the Unifor Family Education Centre at 115 Shipley Avenue in Port Elgin. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at brucemuseum.ca, in person at the museum’s front desk or by calling 519-797-2080.
No physical tickets will be issued; guests’ names will appear on a registration list at the event.
